The objective of our Reaching Lost Souls Outreach is to assist homeless veterans with basic needs and to help them navigate and leverage veteran services in their area. Our goal is to be boots on the ground to reach out to homeless veterans in the community. Most organizations in the community require veterans to come to them. Our focus will be to go out into the community and find the veterans and provide service to them and their family's needs. Our organization will distribute weather-appropriate clothing and help address wounds they may be suffering from. There are many services out there, but so many people are unaware of the available services. As a veteran outreach-focused charity, we will also provide information regarding services in the area to help - connect them with the Vet Center, Clear Path for Veterans, and different county services and housing options.
Our organization was formed in the summer of 2022. It started with an idea from a calling in our souls to give back. We started off with selling helmets to raise money to pass out socks and underwear to those in need and collecting clothing from the community to give to those in need. Almost a year later we are now a newly formed non-profit. We are on a mission to give back every way we can. We work closely with many different agency's in our community helping wherever we can to make our community just a little bit better one soul at a time. For each person we help it starts a domino effect of change spreading our message and our testimony and sharing the knowledge we have to point them in the direction of programs that can help them.
We hold a few monthly events each month in Syracuse doing outreach to those in need. This event is always open to anyone regardless of if they have served in the arm forces. At the events located in downtown Syracuse we provide food, clothing, & toiletries to those in need. We also help veterans and there family's who are in need of basic items such as household items furniture as well as a monthly food pantry for veterans. We also run a emergency food pantry where we can provide a few days supplies of food till they are able to either get services in place or linked up with a sister organization that can help them.
We have been called to this mission because we can understand the struggles they face and want to be able to help them to get back on there feet and giving them the tools to do it and know they are not alone they are seen they matter there is hope there is light in even the darkest of times. Our primary focus of our organization is veterans and active duty members. We will never turn someone away who is not a veteran because everyone as a whole needs help and if we can help we will regardless. So we will always say we help the community as a whole. We got your six and we are here for you.
Your contribution is what makes it possible to help those in need who have bravely served our country.
